Rules

   

Last years winning ladies team from Boars Head celebrate in Jersey!

1. Teams must consist of 3 ladies from the same club. The same 3 ladies need not play in every match. A squad of up to 4 ladies may be used throughout the tournament. The reserve lady must be named on the entry form and play in at least 1 match prior to reaching the semi final. Each match will consist of 3 singles matches, each singles match must reach a conclusion giving a result of 2-1 or 3-0 to each match overall.

2. Ladies must have a handicap of 28 or less and matches will be played off full difference as recommended by CONGU. Any lady who has a handicap higher than 28 may play but must play off 28 on the day of the match. Matches will be played over 18 holes. Handicaps submitted for this competition must be from the club entered.

3. Matches will be drawn on a regional basis and notification sent to each team of their opponents and the venue for each match.

4. The team contact will be responsible for arranging the match and notifying the tournament co-ordinator of the result by the date given.

5. The successful team will be notified of their next match as soon as possible.

6. Two teams will go to Jersey to compete in the final, one from England and one from Scotland. Travel and accommodation expenses for this trip will be met by National Nines Golf, full details on application. Each team may take 4 ladies to the finals. All 4 ladies will play in Jersey.

7. Entry fee is £66 per team. To enter the tournament now please select 'Enter Tournament' from home page, select Ladies Event in the 'select venue' drop down and complete entry form and payment details. Confirmation of your entry and payment will follow.

8. Any club may have more than 1 team representing them in the tournament.

9. Teams will be responsible for their own travel arrangements and costs for each match.

10. Each club must check whether courtesy of the course will be offered by the home club for each match. Whilst this would be welcomed, it is not obligatory.

11. In Scotland this event will be run in a league format. Winners of each league will play in a Scottish semi-final & final, date & venue to be arranged, to compete for a place in the national final in Jersey. Ties will be decided on a countback based on number of individual matches won within each match.

12. When the English tournament reaches the last 4 teams, matches will be decided at a neutral venue to be arranged.

13. Entries must be received by 21st March 2010.
