Our Finalists 2008-- more details
That's all folks..........!!
All the Regional Finals are now completed and we have our 14 teams from across the British Isles who will meet in Jersey later this year to compete for the title of 'National Nines Open Champions 2008'.
Many thanks to all the clubs that have hosted events this year and, most of all, to all the competitors who have supported the National Nines tournament.
2008 Regional Qualifiers - Foxbridge & Horne Park
Foxbridge winners:- Tim Bryder, Andy Smith & Adrian Dudman, representing Foxbridge Golf Club
Horne Park winners:- Shaun Westbrook, Oliver Noakes & Ian , representing Boars Head Golf Club
This week saw the last 2 Regional Finals at Foxbridge in West Sussex and Horne Park in Surrey.
Foxbridge gave us the highest winning score of the summer, 106 points - just enough to edge out the unlucky Selsey team of Martin Kaye, Jason Arnould & Dave Thompson into 2nd with 105 points. The Roker Park team of Richard Bollons, Clive Appleyard & Jonathon Appleyard came 3rd with 99 points.
Horne Park gave us the closest finish with 102 points coming 1st, 2nd & 3rd. The unlucky ones that were pipped were 2 teams from Sidcup: Laurie Fagg, Mick Wilson & Keith Payne were 2nd and Gary Wilson, Bryan Houghton & Gary Jones were 3rd. So close, but it's the Boars Head team that are off to Jersey!
We will be in contact with all the winners over the next few weeks and look forward to crowning our new champions in Jersey!
